Best places to hot desk in London for a change of scenery

The majority of 2020 so far has seen us working from the comfort of our own homes, and let’s be honest it’s been a dream not having to do the dreaded daily commute everyday to the office.
Waking up that little bit later, wearing comfy clothes and being home for deliveries has also been ideal, although we would be lying if we said we haven't missed getting dressed up and taking walks around our favourite city landmarks on our lunch breaks.
With many offices still remaining closed until further notice, we thought we’d share with you some of the best places to hot desk in London for a change of scenery from your dining room table.

The Lounge at Holmes Hotel London

Located on the ground floor of the Marylebone based boutique hotel Holmes Hotel London, The Lounge is the perfect place to work from your laptop in a relaxed and comfortable setting. Featuring deluxe armchairs and sofas with a stylish fireplace, this space is a home away from home in the city. For lunch or an afternoon snack, you can enjoy a selection of tasty dishes and drinks from the hotels on-site restaurant and bar Kitchen At Holmes. Walk-ins are accepted, but bookings are preferred where possible.

We don’t know about you but we can’t think of anything better than working from one of our favourite department stores. The stylish Fifth Floor Café at Harvey Nichols provides free Wi-Fi for all customers allowing you to hot desk in luxury and browse through the store on your break. The café features an outdoor terrace overlooking the Knightsbridge rooftops and offers a delicious and varied menu with all- day dining options and an extensive drinks list available. Walk-ins are accepted, but bookings are preferred where possible.


Canova Hall

Why not base yourself at Canova Hall for the day and enjoy bottomless Ozone coffee and fast Wi-Fi in a beautiful setting. Located in Brixton, Canova Hall features stylish and unique decor including wooden booths based on old-time Montmartre bistros and a goods lift disguised as a birdcage. With delicious wood-fired pizzas available, this is also an ideal place to grab some lunch. Hot desking is available from 8am-5pm every week day. Walk-ins are accepted, but bookings are preferred where possible.


A Work.Life Office

If you want to feel a little more like you’re in the office, Work.Life offers hot desk day passes in all of their locations across London. The offices feature private phone booths, unlimited teas and coffee and plenty of areas to set up your laptop. The Bermondsey, Soho and Holborn offices also feature a roof terrace so you can catch some rays whilst answering emails. Walk-ins are accepted.
