Cheap shopping spots for Christmas gifts

LULA LE VAY, NOVEMBER 2017

Funds a bit tight? Well, never fear as you don’t have to drop a bundle on Christmas gifts this year with our guide to the cheapest shopping spots in London.

Primark Primarni is the obvious bargain spot for this year’s crimbo shopping. You can literally do a sweep of the store and get everything you need for the entire family and friends for under £70. We have spotted toe-tickling fishnet socks available in khaki and red for a quid per pair, Holler and Glow facemasks for £3, and a gorgeous large pink throw for your bed for £11. And that’s just the tip of the Primarni gift iceberg.

AldiDon’t balk at the idea. Trust us when we say Aldi is a treasure trove of goodies that will impress all on Christmas morning. Get ahead of the game and pre-order a Christmas hamper now, for £20-£50 – packed with delicious goodies. Plenty of special buys also on offer, from the widely renowned Lacura Face Care Beautifying Serum at only £3.99 through to motorcycle jackets for £89.99. You never really know what you’ll find until you’re in-store. Ideal for Christmas groceries, too.

PoundlandYou can’t beat the Poundland if you’re on a budget. You may have walked past scoffing in disgust, but you’re the one who’s losing out, as it boasts everything you need under one roof. There is so much to choose from, but our highlights have to be the Tresemme 24 Hour Gift box for £4.95, the 52-piece art set for £3.99 and the Fitzherbert & Prince England scented candles for £5.75.

Carluccios Christmas shopping at Carluccios has been tried and tested by us, and it’s fantastic. You can’t go wrong with presents you can eat. No re-gifting to be done here. Where do we start? Milk Chocolate Ladybirds for £4.95, chocolate coated orange peel for £7.95, porcini oil for £5.95 and butter biscuits for £10.95 – and that’s just skimming the surface… High quality goods on the cheap.

Urban OutfittersUrban Outfitters is more upmarket, but if you take a proper look you can find some real bargains for under £15. First up is the selection of homey gifts, particularly the mugs. Our faves include the modern stackable ceramic mugs for £5 which come in a range of scrumptious rainbow hue colours, and the Rainbow Marble mug for £9. We also loved the card holders for £10, Mario Badescu Facial Spray for £7 and the Casio Quartz Analogue watch for £15. Get in.
