Whilst many of the pieces you’ll see will be politically motivated, due to Berlin’s awesome attitude toward leaving street-art untouched, it has also gained a heavy reputation for being the graffiti capital of Europe. Keep your eyes wide open, as it’s everywhere. Snap the perfect Insta pic, and you’ll and shoot right into the heart of the Berlin mindset.

The mighty trees hug man-made structures, along with cultural sights seen from a distance such as the Brandenburger Tor and the Haus der Kulturen der Welt.

7. Berliner Dom

Berliner Dom is the largest church in Berlin. Like any other church, it’s a mixture of stunning stained glass, baroque icons, grandiose gold leaf and peaceful prayer. 8. Mauerpark

Every Sunday Maurerpark is transformed into a teaming hub of music, bargain-heavy second hand stalls, performance art, entertainment and so much more. The positioning of the park is important, as it’s reclaimed the once militarized “death-strip” of the Berlin Wall. It’s now an important cultural centre, and a meeting of minds in hope. There’s something for everyone, and if you’re looking for a more artisan Berlin to photograph, the market is a minefield of artisanal experience.

9. Kraftwork Berlin

The Kraftwork originally provided Berlin residents with heating; but quickly after it was closed it became a performance art venue. This overpowering structure can be seen from miles away, and if you’re looking for that eerie edge to your instagram feed, you’ll be sure to find it here. You can access the Kraftwork during the day for a stroll, or if you’re looking for a bit of bite in your images, check out one of the widely attended techno nights. Just don’t get it mixed up with Berghain, who don’t allow cameras.

10. Natur-Park Südgelände

After the second world war, the railway at the Natur-Park was shut, but never removed. If you’re keeping to a more creepy curation of your Insta environment, then the Natur-Park offers the wonders of wild nature, all mixed in with the delightfully decrepit and curious crumbling vibe of the disused railway. If you want to give off horror film insta-impression, then this is the perfect place. Don’t fall foul to the temptation of taking a souvenir home, though. There are a number of birds and fauna in the park, most of which are endangered.
